Airbnb Co-Hosting Questions

Straight answers to what owners ask us most — what co-hosting is, what it costs, and whether managing a short-term rental remotely actually works.

The Pack Behind Every Great Stay

What is an Airbnb co-host, and how is it different from a property manager?

A co-host operates inside your existing Airbnb or VRBO account, so you keep the listing, the reviews, and the direct payouts. A traditional property manager usually takes the listing under their own account and pays you out afterward. Co-hosting keeps you the owner of record while removing the daily work.

How much does Airbnb co-hosting cost?

Co-hosting is typically priced as a percentage of booking revenue, and the rate depends on the property, the platforms it is listed on, and how much support you need. We quote after an initial conversation rather than publishing a flat rate, because a single number would be wrong for most owners.

Can a short-term rental really be managed remotely?

Yes. The work that determines guest satisfaction — messaging, calendar management, pricing, and vendor coordination — is all done from a screen. The physical work happens locally through your cleaners and maintenance contacts. We coordinate those vendors; we do not replace them.

Do I keep my Airbnb listing and my reviews?

Yes. We are added as a co-host on your existing listing, so your account, your review history, and your Superhost progress all stay with you. If you ever stop working with us, we are removed as a co-host and nothing about your listing changes.

How fast do you respond to guest messages?

Fast guest response times are one of the metrics Airbnb weighs in search placement and Superhost status, so we treat messaging as a priority rather than a background task. We will agree on a specific response-time commitment with you during onboarding, based on your property and guest volume.

Do you handle cleaning and maintenance yourselves?

We coordinate rather than perform. We schedule your cleaners between stays and dispatch maintenance when something breaks, working with the vendors you already trust. If you do not have vendors in place yet, we can help you find and vet them.

Does my property need to be near you?

No. Because our co-hosting is remote, your property's location does not limit us — what matters is that you have reliable local cleaning and maintenance contacts, which we can help you establish.

Am I locked into a long-term contract?

No. Ongoing co-hosting is month to month. Vacation Coverage runs for whatever window you need and ends there, and Listing Optimization is a one-time audit with no commitment at all.

What if I only need help while I am traveling?

That is exactly what Vacation Coverage is for. You hand over guest messaging, calendar monitoring, and vendor coordination for a defined period, then take it back with a summary of what happened while you were away. Many owners use it seasonally.

Which booking platforms do you work with?

Primarily Airbnb and VRBO, and we can work with Booking.com and direct booking sites as well. Because we operate inside your accounts, we adapt to wherever you already list rather than asking you to move your property somewhere new.
